44th Annual Reeds Lake Resolution Run
New Year's Eve tradition: run or walk around Reeds Lake to ring in the year.
Ring in the new year with a New Year's Eve running tradition that's been going strong since 1982. The Resolution Run offers a scenic 4-mile loop around Reeds Lake on a USATF-certified course, perfect for runners and walkers of all paces. The main race kicks off at 2:00 PM near East Grand Rapids Middle School, with the finish line at Collins Park. Whether you're looking to reflect on the year behind you or set intentions for the one ahead, this is a chance to be part of a community ritual that draws participants rain or shine.
Families with younger children will appreciate the Kids Race, which starts at 1:30 PM for ages 12 and under on their own shorter course. All young finishers receive disco-ball medals to celebrate their accomplishment. Proceeds from the event support Guiding Light Works, so your participation makes a difference beyond the personal milestone of crossing the finish line together as a family.
