Art for Honor Preview Night at Art Prize

Get an early glimpse of Art for Honor, a special showcase featuring artwork created by U.S. veteran artists participating in ArtPrize. The public preview opens at 6:30 PM, giving families a chance to explore the exhibit at Calder Plaza's north side location near City Hall. The evening kicks off with a reading at 6:30 PM by U.S. Army veteran and writer Jill Hinton Wolfe, who will share her essay "The Coin" as part of her ArtPrize entry. The piece reflects on how a chance decision—literally made by coin toss at her military entrance processing—set the course for her life, touching on themes of military identity, purpose, and unexpected choices.
