ArtPrize 2026: Halftime Event

Join John Ball Zoo for an evening celebrating the midpoint of ArtPrize! This special event brings together artists, art enthusiasts, and curious visitors for a unique experience. Watch as 14 artists paint live throughout the Zoo grounds, creating plein air artwork right before your eyes. You'll have time to stroll through the Zoo's animal exhibits between the art displays, making this a full evening of exploration and discovery. The festivities include food and beverage options (with a cash bar available), plus the chance to vote for your favorite live painting between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., organizers will announce the winner of the live painting competition and reveal which entries are currently leading in the overall ArtPrize race. Tickets are $10 for general admission, though ArtPrize Artists, Venue Managers, and ArtPatrons at the Enthusiast level and above receive free entry. Check back soon for ticket availability.
