ArtPrize 2026: Music Weekend
ArtPrize's official kickoff with a musical parade and performance at Rosa Parks Circle.
ArtPrize kicks off its 2026 festival with a musical celebration centered around Rosa Parks Circle. The festivities begin with a parade that winds through the area and concludes at Pearl Street Bridge, where you and your family will experience a one-of-a-kind performance featuring the Earth Harp—the world's longest stringed instrument. During this performance, you'll stand directly beneath the instrument's beautifully tuned strings as the bridge transforms into an enormous musical installation.
The music weekend continues the following day with Opera Grand Rapids performing at Rosa Parks Circle, showcasing the company's full range of talent. Beyond these main events, additional live music performances take place throughout the weekend at various ArtPrize venues and locations across the city. This is a great opportunity for families who enjoy live music and unique artistic experiences in an outdoor setting.
