ArtPrize Dance Weekend
ArtPrize Dance Weekend at Rosa Parks Circle
This event kicks off ArtPrize with a multi-part evening that combines community celebration, live music, and spectacular visuals. The festivities begin at Rosa Parks Circle with drinks and activities, then transition into a parade that winds through the city toward Pearl Street Bridge. Along the way, families will encounter special characters adding to the festive atmosphere as you make your way through Grand Rapids.
At Pearl Street Bridge, the real magic happens: William Close & the Earth Harp Collective performs using the world's longest stringed instrument, stretched across the bridge itself to create an immersive sound experience. Before the performance, there's time to enjoy DJ music, grab refreshments, and connect with other community members. The evening concludes with fireworks over the Grand River, officially launching ArtPrize. The event runs from 5:30 PM at Rosa Parks Circle, with the parade departing at 7 PM and the Earth Harp performance beginning at 8:30 PM, followed by fireworks at 9:30 PM.
