Backyard Adventures

Backyard Adventures invites kids to explore the science hiding in plain sight all around them. This exhibit encourages children to think differently about everyday outdoor spaces—whether it's a backyard, playground, or field—by asking questions like what the world looks like through a bee's eyes, how bricks fit together so perfectly, or what it takes to grow a prize-winning pumpkin. It's designed with children ages 5 to 12 in mind, though visitors of all ages are welcome. You can experience Backyard Adventures during regular museum hours. Tickets are available for purchase, and you may also add planetarium show tickets to your visit if interested. This is a great way to help your child develop a new appreciation for the science that surrounds them every single day.
