Broken Wings - A Frida Kahlo Story

Broken Wings - A Frida Kahlo Story

Ballet inspired by Frida Kahlo's life and art, from acclaimed choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa.

This evening of ballet offers families a chance to experience two compelling productions. The first, *Broken Wings*, draws from the life and artistic vision of renowned Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. Choreographed by internationally acclaimed Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, this visually striking work brings Kahlo's surrealist imagery to life through dance, accompanied by a musical score that weaves in Mexican folk traditions. The production also features characters central to Kahlo's story, including her husband Diego Rivera. The program runs approximately two hours with one intermission. The evening pairs *Broken Wings* with *A Dreamer*, a revival ballet inspired by theoretical astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, set to music by Philip Glass and Beethoven. Please note this production contains mature themes and sensitive topics that may not be suitable for younger children. Reserved seating is available, along with accessible seating and companion accommodations.
