Caledonia Lakeside: Discovering Owls
All-ages nature program exploring owls and their amazing adaptations with Blandford educators.
Join Blandford Nature Center educators for a hands-on exploration of owls and their fascinating characteristics. During this program, you'll examine sanitized owl pellets to learn what these birds eat, explore the park trails to search for signs of owl activity, and discover the different owl species that make their homes in Michigan. The activity works well for children ages 5–12 with their caregivers, though younger and older children are welcome with registration.
This is not a drop-off program—a registered adult must supervise all children throughout. Registration is recommended since space is limited and can be booked online up to one hour before the start time; walk-ins are accepted if spots remain available. Tickets are $5 per adult and $8 per child ages 2 and up, with children under 2 free. Plan to dress for outdoor weather and wear sturdy footwear suitable for unpaved park paths, as the program includes walks through the trails regardless of conditions. If you have mobility concerns, let organizers know ahead of time so they can make adjustments.
