Caledonia Lakeside Park: Hike with a Naturalist

Join Blandford Nature Center's Environmental Educators for a guided nature walk designed to help families explore the park's seasonal highlights. Whether you're new to outdoor observation or have some experience, this beginner-friendly hike welcomes all ages and knowledge levels. You'll learn practical skills like using field guide apps and nature guides to identify plants and animals you encounter along the way—perfect for sparking curiosity about the natural world right in your own community. This program works best for adults and children ages 12 and up, though younger children are welcome with a registered adult supervisor (this is not a drop-off program). Admission is $5 per person for adults and children ages 2 and up; children under 2 are free. Pre-registration is recommended since space fills up, and you can register online until one hour before start time. Plan to dress for outdoor conditions with sturdy footwear, as you'll be walking park trails rain or shine. If anyone in your group has mobility concerns, let organizers know ahead of time so they can help make accommodations.
