COLLIDE Series 26 | Deos Contemporary Ballet

See powerful new contemporary ballet works in Deos Contemporary Ballet's COLLIDE Series 26.

Deos Contemporary Ballet brings the COLLIDE Series 26 to life this summer with two compelling contemporary works. The evening opens with "People We Meet on the Train," a world premiere choreographed by Tess Sinke and Grace Sinke. This moving piece draws inspiration from Holocaust history, following strangers whose distinct identities gradually fade as their stories intertwine—a powerful exploration of human connection and remembrance. The program concludes with "The Greek Myths," created by Christine Settembrino. This fresh take on classical legends features beloved stories including Echo and Narcissus, Orpheus and Eurydice, and several others, making its Grand Rapids debut after originally premiering with St. Louis Ballet. Whether your family has years of ballet experience or you're curious about contemporary dance for the first time, this performance offers engaging storytelling paired with skilled choreography. Performances run Friday evening and Saturday with both afternoon and evening options, giving you flexibility in scheduling. For ticket information and to secure your seats, visit deosballet.com.
