Community Leadership Camp

Community Leadership Camp

Free leadership workshop for grades 6–8 with museum tour at Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.

This summer program invites middle-grade students (grades 6–8) and a accompanying adult to spend three hours exploring what it means to be an engaged leader in your community. Held at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, the session combines guided museum tours with hands-on discussions and activities designed to inspire young people to think about civic participation and making a positive difference. Best of all, the program is completely free. Families should expect an interactive experience that goes beyond a typical museum visit—your student will have plenty of opportunity to engage with the material and ask questions throughout. This is a great fit for kids curious about leadership, history, or how they can get involved in their own neighborhoods and communities. An adult's presence is required, so it's also a nice way to explore the museum together as a family.
