Community Leadership Camp

Free leadership workshop for grades 6–8 with museum tour at Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.

This summer, the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum is hosting a free three-hour program designed to help young people discover what it means to be an engaged leader. The Community Leadership Camp welcomes students in grades 6 through 8, along with a parent or adult companion. Participants will take part in guided discussions and hands-on activities, plus enjoy a tour of the museum itself—a great way to explore the space while learning about civic responsibility and leadership. The program is completely free to attend, making it an accessible option for families looking for meaningful summer activities. This camp is ideal for middle schoolers who are curious about history, civics, and how they can make a difference in their communities. Adult companions are encouraged to participate alongside the students, so you'll be involved in the experience too.
