Cut Flower Gardening 101 and Farm Flower Bouquets

Learn to grow and arrange cut flowers at Blandford Farm's hands-on gardening class.

Interested in growing your own cutting garden or starting a flower stand? This hands-on class with Blandford Nature Center's flower expert covers everything you need to know before diving in. You'll explore which blooms thrive in our climate, which varieties offer the best harvests, and how to choose flowers that match your style and color vision. The indoor lesson sets you up for success, then the real fun begins—you'll head into the farm's flower fields to harvest your own stems and create a bouquet to take home. All harvesting tools and a mason jar are provided. This program is for teens 13 and up (accompanied by a registered adult). Registration is required and closes at noon the day of the event due to limited spots. Tickets are $45 for non-members or $36 for members. The entire experience happens outdoors, so wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty and wet. Facilities include port-a-potties and a hand-washing station. If severe weather strikes, the program will be cancelled and you'll receive refund options.
