De Tuin Klas: Branching Out

Growing a thriving landscape goes beyond flowers and shrubs—trees are essential! This hands-on class introduces families to the fundamentals of selecting, planting, and maintaining trees. Led by an MSU Extension Horticulture Educator, you'll learn what to look for when choosing a tree at the nursery, proper planting techniques, and how to care for your tree as it grows. The session includes a live demonstration of tree planting in action, making it easy to understand each step. Best of all, every participant takes home a small tree to plant in their own yard. The $15 per-person fee covers all supplies you'll need to get started. This is a wonderful opportunity for families who want to deepen their gardening knowledge and add something living and lasting to their outdoor space.
