De Tuin Klas: Garden Guardian

Interested in growing a healthier garden? This hands-on class teaches you practical maintenance skills straight from the experts. You'll learn essential techniques like proper weeding, watering, and plant nutrition, plus get guidance on identifying and solving common summer garden problems. The session includes a walk through Windmill Island Gardens itself, so you can see real examples of what these challenges look like and how to address them in your own yard. Led by Extension Horticulture Educator Deanna Hedlund and Emily Van Staalduinen, Windmill Island Gardens' Grounds and Horticulture Manager, this 90-minute class is perfect for anyone wanting to improve their gardening skills. The $15 fee per person covers all materials and resources you'll take home, including a helpful weed-identification guide to reference later. Please note that tickets are non-refundable.
