Discovering Owls - Various Locations

Your family can discover what makes owls such fascinating creatures at this hands-on nature program led by Blandford Nature Center educators. Kids and adults will examine sanitized owl pellets to learn about owl diets, explore the park trails looking for signs of owls, and learn about the different owl species that call Michigan home. The program is designed with children ages 5–12 in mind, though older and younger siblings are welcome with registration. Keep in mind this isn't a drop-off program—a registered adult must supervise children throughout. Sessions take place outdoors and involve walking park trails, so dress for the weather with appropriate footwear and layers. Pre-registration is strongly recommended since space fills up quickly; online sign-ups close one hour before each program starts, though walk-ins may be accepted if spots remain. Admission is $5 for adults and $8 for children ages 2 and up, with free entry for children under 2. Programs run rain or shine, and if severe weather causes cancellation, you can transfer your registration to another Nature Neighbors program in Kent County Parks.
