Fall & Winter Constelllations

Fall & Winter Constelllations

Stargazing lecture on autumn & winter skies, plus observatory viewing at Hemlock Crossing.

Your family can explore the night sky during this evening lecture and viewing experience. The program begins with a presentation called "Autumn and Winter Skies" at 7 PM in the Nature Education Center, followed by public viewing through the observatory telescope (weather permitting). You'll have the chance to observe planets, the Moon, comets, and deep-sky objects like galaxies, star clusters, and planetary nebulae with guidance from knowledgeable staff. There's no admission cost to attend. Keep in mind that the park entrance gate operates on an automatic timer and closes at 8 PM during the winter months, so plan to arrive with enough time before closing. This is a great outing for families interested in astronomy and stargazing, combining education with hands-on observation opportunities under the night sky.
