Fallasburg Park: Beginner Birding

Get introduced to birding with Blandford Nature Center's expert educators on a guided walk through the park. This program welcomes anyone new to bird watching, though seasoned birders are invited to come along and share their knowledge. You'll start with the basics of identifying birds, plus learn about helpful resources like field guides and mobile apps to use during your own future outings. Binoculars are available to borrow if you don't have your own—just bring curiosity and comfortable shoes for unpaved trails. The cost is $8 per adult and $8 per child ages 2 and up; children under 2 are free. Since space fills up, pre-registration is strongly encouraged through online signup (available up to an hour before the program starts). Families with younger children should note this isn't a drop-off event—every child needs a registered adult present throughout. The program runs rain or shine, so dress appropriately for the weather. Please arrive a few minutes early, as the group departs promptly at the start time.
