Flip Flop Building Class

Your family can create personalized flip-flops during this hands-on workshop at Tandy Leather Grand Rapids. Participants choose from two sandal styles and select their size from a range that accommodates ladies' sizes 5/6 through men's 13/14. Throughout the class, you'll learn practical leatherworking skills—specifically how to insert foam padding into the footbed and secure a rubber sole to your design. The studio provides all the tools and workspace you'll need, along with a fun, laid-back summer atmosphere. Before attending, you'll need to purchase your pattern, leather, and supplies separately. This is a great activity for kids and teens who enjoy crafts and want to walk away with something they've made themselves.
