Grand Rapids Ballet - Tuesday Evening Music Club at Meijer Gardens
Grand Rapids Ballet performs at beautiful Meijer Gardens Amphitheater.
Grand Rapids Ballet, the state's only professional classical ballet company, brings an evening of dance to the gardens this summer. The program mixes classical and contemporary styles, opening with shorter pieces showcasing the company's talented international dancers. The second half features "In The Countenance of Kings," a work by Justin Peck, a resident choreographer with New York City Ballet, set to music by Michigan composer Sufjan Stevens. This is family-friendly entertainment that works well for ballet lovers of all ages and experience levels.
This performance is part of the Tuesday Evening Music Club series, which has become known as a great summer value for families. Members get in free, while general admission guests can purchase tickets that cover both garden entry and the show. Tickets go on sale the morning of the performance at the Welcome Center (starting at 9 am) and at the amphitheater box office (starting at 5 pm). Gates open at 5 pm, giving your family time to explore before the show begins.
