Grand Rapids Walk for Lupus

Grand Rapids Walk for Lupus at Blue Bridge

The Michigan Lupus Foundation invites families and community members to participate in a morning walk at the Blue Bridge that celebrates awareness and support for those affected by lupus. Whether you're walking to honor someone you care about, supporting your own lupus journey, or simply standing with the cause, this event brings visibility to an often-overlooked illness while raising funds for research and patient services. Registration is $25 per adult, and children 17 and under are free. You can walk as an individual or gather friends and family to form a team. The day includes complimentary coffee and refreshments, plus opportunities to connect with others in the lupus community and hear their stories. There's also a silent auction, raffle items, and recognition for top fundraising teams. The walk itself is a short, manageable route across the Blue Bridge and back to Lacks Park—but don't worry if walking isn't an option for you. Everyone is welcome to participate by sitting, relaxing, and enjoying the supportive atmosphere. On-site registration opens at 9:00 am at the west side of the bridge near Lacks Park.
