Guided Shinrin-Yoku: Relax & Reconnect in Nature

Guided Shinrin-Yoku: Relax & Reconnect in Nature at Blandford Nature Center

Experience forest bathing, a Japanese wellness practice centered on slowing down and mindfully connecting with nature. Led by certified forest therapy guide Katie Venechuk, this evening program begins with an introduction to Shinrin-yoku—what it is, how it differs from a regular hike, and why it's recognized worldwide for reducing stress. You'll then spend time in guided relaxation while walking through Blandford's woods and meadows under the twilight sky, learning to be fully present in your natural surroundings. The program wraps up with a candlelit tea service featuring wild foraged tea, a snack, and time to chat with fellow participants. Depending on temperature, tea is served either outdoors or indoors. Your registration includes a sit pad, blanket, hand warmers, essential oils, and after-dark access to the grounds. This is an adults-only program (18+) that takes place mostly outside, so dress warmly for late fall weather. Registration is required and closes at noon the day before; spaces are limited. Cost is $32 for non-members or $25.60 with a member discount.
