Heatwave Half Marathon - Grand Rapids

Heatwave Half Marathon is a summer racing event that welcomes participants of all abilities and experience levels. Runners can choose from several distance options: a half marathon, 10K, 5K, 1-mile fun run, or relay format. The kids' dash offers a special opportunity for children ages 10 and under to participate in their own untimed event. Early registration (by midnight two Thursdays before race day) guarantees you'll receive a custom race shirt along with your registration. Race day begins with packet pickup starting at 5:30 a.m., followed by the kids' dash at 6:55 a.m. and the main race start at 7:00 a.m. Every participant receives a custom finisher medal, chip timing for accurate results, and a designer shirt. At the finish line, you'll enjoy free Kona Ice and can pick up your results right away at the registration tent. Youth pricing for the 5K and 10K is just $17 for children 12 and under. Kids who want to participate in the dash but prefer not to take home the included shirt and medal can run for free. This is a great family-friendly event that celebrates participation over competition.
