Let Them Play

Let Them Play is a weekly drop-in program at Plainsong Farm where kids of any age can explore the grounds alongside a parent or caregiver. This is unstructured, child-led playtime—your family sets the pace and chooses the activities. The farm opens up several different areas for discovery: an education garden, a pine grove, and a mud kitchen. Kids can taste seasonal produce, hunt for insects and birds, construct forts, or whip up imaginative mud creations. Staff members are on hand if you have questions, and you'll find a map and instructions at the Welcome Shed when you arrive. This is perfect for families who want their kids to engage with nature in a relaxed, pressure-free way. There's no structured curriculum here—just space, materials, and natural surroundings to spark curiosity and play. Since it's drop-in format, you can arrive whenever works for your schedule and stay as long as feels right for your family.
