Long Lake Park: Nature Sensory Experience
Sensory-friendly nature exploration at Long Lake Park.
Your child will explore the natural world using all five senses during this guided walk through Long Lake Park's trails. Kids will listen for bird calls, feel different plant textures, search for rainbow colors in nature, and discover the scents of the park alongside their caregivers. The program is designed for children ages 2–6, though older and younger children can participate with registration.
Admission is $5 per adult and $5 per child ages 2 and up; children under 2 are free. This is not a drop-off program—a registered adult must stay with your child throughout. Pre-registration is strongly recommended since space is limited, and you can register online up to one hour before the program starts. Walk-ins are welcome only if spots remain available. Come prepared for outdoor weather with appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes, as the program takes place entirely or partly outdoors, rain or shine. Arrive a few minutes early, as the group departs promptly at start time. If you have mobility concerns, contact the organizers in advance to discuss possible adjustments.
