Macatawa Contra Dance

Bring your family to an evening of contra dancing—a lively, community-focused style of dancing set to live music! Karin Neils will call the dances while Gooder'n Grits & Friends provide the music. You don't need any prior experience or a dance partner; each dance is taught before it begins, making this welcoming for everyone from curious newcomers to seasoned dancers. Just come as you are and be ready to move and have fun together. The evening includes a mid-break, so feel free to bring a snack to share with other dancers. The suggested donation is $10–$25 per person, making it an affordable evening out. This is a great way to experience live music and group activity in a friendly, inclusive setting where kids and adults alike can participate and enjoy the energy of the community.
