Millennium Park: Accessible Birding
Accessible birding program at Millennium Park in Walker.
Explore Millennium Park's accessible trails with Blandford Nature Center educators in this beginner-friendly birding adventure. Whether your family has never picked up binoculars before or you're experienced bird-watchers, everyone's welcome to join in. You'll start with basics on identifying birds and learn about helpful resources like field guides and phone apps to support your birding journey. Feel free to bring your own binoculars, or borrow a pair from the program.
This outdoor activity is designed for ages 12 and up, though younger children can attend with a registered adult supervisor (this is not a drop-off program). Admission is $8 per adult and per child ages 2+, with children under 2 free. The program meets near Grant Pavilion and involves walking park trails, so dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes for unpaved paths. Pre-registration is strongly recommended since space is limited and fills up quickly—you can register online until one hour before the start time. Walk-ins are welcome only if spots remain available.
