Open Mic and Book Launch for Lamont Arrington and GF Korreck at Fountain Street Church
Spend a free evening celebrating poetry and new books at this community gathering hosted by Grand River Poetry Collective and Press. The event features two authors, Lamont Arrington and GF Korreck, and welcomes poetry lovers of all levels. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., giving you time to arrive and connect with fellow attendees. From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the community open mic takes the stage—if your family members enjoy sharing their own work, bring a poem to read. Sign-ups happen in person when you arrive.
From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Lamont Arrington and GF Korreck share their featured readings, and afterward there's an opportunity to have books signed. The whole evening runs through 8:00 p.m., so you can stay as long as you'd like. This is a wonderful way to introduce kids and teens to live literary events in an welcoming, family-friendly setting at a local church venue.
