Pyrate Festival

Set sail for a swashbuckling weekend at Put-in-Bay's beloved pirate celebration, which has been entertaining families for over a decade. The festivities kick off with a pirate invasion of the downtown harbor, complete with costumed characters, a lively parade, and plenty of opportunities to get into the spirit of things. Bring your wooden leg and pet parrot—costumes are encouraged for both kids and adults! Throughout the event, you'll find a pirate marketplace with vendors and displays, a dedicated kids' fun area, and live demonstrations that bring the pirate experience to life. Watch sword-fighting techniques and other acts of "skullduggery," or let your children practice their own moves with foam swords. Black powder firing demonstrations add to the excitement, and multiple performances and themed activities happen each day of the festival. Several local resorts offer lodging options if you'd like to make it a full island getaway.
