Rediscover Veterans Memorial Bridge
Free walk across Veterans Memorial Bridge—great city views.
Your family has a rare chance to step inside a historic piece of Cleveland this June. The Veterans Memorial Bridge's streetcar level has been closed to the public for years, but this special event opens its doors for self-guided exploration. You'll be able to walk through the original subway stations and tracks while learning about the bridge's fascinating history. Local musicians will perform throughout the day as part of the celebration, adding extra energy to your visit.
This free event welcomes families with children of all ages, though anyone under 18 needs an adult with them. Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome too. You'll need to sign a waiver before heading down to the lower level—completing it ahead of time online will speed things up at the entrance. Plan to spend anywhere from a quick visit to several hours exploring at your own pace between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
