STEM Celebration

STEM Celebration at BrainGu—hands-on science and learning activities for kids.

Join BrainGu in celebrating Stemming Ideas' third anniversary with a fun afternoon of hands-on science and engineering activities. This free event welcomes families of all ages to explore real STEM concepts through interactive stations. Kids can build marble-based computers with Turing Tumbles, design pocket solar systems, try their hand at laser engraving, program music, construct molecular models, and tackle many other engaging projects. Whether your child is a seasoned science enthusiast or simply curious about how things work, there's something for everyone to discover and enjoy together. To help organizers prepare adequate supplies and materials, families are asked to register ahead of time with the number of youth and adults attending. Admission is completely free, and while not required, donations are welcome—all proceeds support Stemming Ideas' mission of providing STEM education to economically disadvantaged and underserved young people throughout the Grand Rapids area. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with your family while exploring creative problem-solving and scientific thinking in a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere.
