STEM Superheroes | Grades 4-6

STEM Superheroes is a four-day camp designed for kids entering grades 4–6 this fall. Held at Van Andel Institute for Education in Grand Rapids, the program runs from July 20–23, meeting each day from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Your child will dive into hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities built around a superhero theme. Throughout the camp, campers tackle real STEM challenges that teach innovation, problem-solving, and teamwork in creative ways. During the program, kids explore magnetism and build floating cars, experiment with flight principles to design capes, and use littleBits electronics to create their own hero gadgets. The Van Andel Institute focuses on fostering curiosity and critical thinking, so expect an engaging, activity-rich experience rather than traditional classroom instruction.
