Summer Saturdays: Exploring the Deep

Summer Saturdays: Exploring the Deep

Explore ocean science and sea creatures at Grand Rapids Public Museum's summer program.

Get ready to discover the underwater world through hands-on learning this summer at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Your family will have the chance to build and test your own remote-operated vehicles (ROVs)β€”the same tools scientists use to explore the depths of oceans and freshwater lakes. The Hot Glue Creux will be on-site leading craft workshops where kids and adults can get creative together. Beyond the ROV building activities, you'll have access to the traveling exhibit *Unseen Oceans*, which showcases the mysteries and discoveries of our planet's water. This Saturday program is part of the Museum's larger Summer Saturdays series, which runs most weekends from June through mid-August with different science, history, and culture themes each week. It's a great way to spend a summer day indoors while staying cool and engaged with interactive, educational activities.
