Sunday Strings at Meijer Gardens
Live classical music in a beautiful gardens setting.
Spend a summer Sunday afternoon enjoying live classical music at Meijer Gardens. Sunday Strings brings together talented West Michigan musicians for a series of six chamber music concerts held in the Huizenga Grand Room from 2 to 3 p.m. on select Sundays in July and August. Each program features a different ensemble and carefully curated repertoire—from Spanish-influenced works and Baroque celebrations to intimate string quartets and beloved favorites like Schubert's Trout Quintet. The concerts are free for members and included with general admission for everyone else.
This is the seventh year of the Sunday Strings series, and it's designed to appeal to listeners of all backgrounds and tastes. Whether your family enjoys vibrant, energetic performances or prefers quieter, more reflective music, there's a program for you. No special registration is needed—simply plan your gardens visit and enjoy some world-class music in an intimate setting. It's a wonderful way to introduce children to classical music while taking in the beautiful grounds.
