The Fources of Fate
The Fources of Fate at West Ottawa Performing Arts Center
The Holland Symphony Orchestra presents an evening of orchestral masterworks exploring themes of fate, longing, and ultimate triumph. Conductor Micah Gleason leads the ensemble through three compelling compositions: Carlos Simon's "Fate Now Conquers," which blends gospel influences with classical traditions as a response to Beethoven's Seventh Symphony; Edward Elgar's deeply emotional Cello Concerto, featuring soloist Alicia Eppinga; and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony, an autobiographical work where a driving "fate" motif carries listeners from turbulent emotions toward joyful resolution.
Tickets are available at multiple price points to accommodate different budgets: general admission ranges from $31 to $33, with obstructed-view seats at $15 and student tickets at $12. For ticket purchases or questions about the performance, contact the ticketing office at 616-796-6780 or email Ticketing@HollandSymphony.org. This is an excellent opportunity for families to experience live classical music and celebrate the orchestra's artistic contributions to the community.
