The Highlands Walk & Talk

This guided walk offers adults a chance to explore The Highlands with an expert Land Stewardship Manager and discover how a former golf course is being transformed into wetlands and prairie habitat. You'll learn about the restoration process while enjoying a nature walk on accessible trails. Come with comfortable walking shoes, your curiosity about the natural world, and clothing suited to outdoor conditions—the program runs rain or shine unless severe weather strikes. Registration is required and spaces are limited, with online sign-ups closing at noon on the program day. Tickets are $10 for non-members or $8 for members. Note that due to ongoing construction, you'll meet at Blandford Nature Center's parking lot and walk together to The Highlands via an accessible route, so arriving promptly is important. If weather forces a cancellation, you'll receive email notification about refund or rescheduling options.
