This means WAR!: The Fight Against Human Trafficking at Grand Rapids Art Museum
Women At Risk, International is hosting an evening dedicated to raising awareness about human trafficking and celebrating two decades of their work rescuing and supporting survivors. Rebecca McDonald, the organization's founder and president, will lead a presentation sharing real stories and explaining how trafficking affects communities. You'll leave with practical ideas for how to make a difference right in your own neighborhood. This event welcomes everyone—whether you're just learning about the issue for the first time or have been involved in this cause for years.
The evening kicks off early with a shopping opportunity at 3:30 pm, where you can browse and purchase items made by women who've been rescued or are at-risk, with proceeds supporting their empowerment. The main presentation begins at 5:30 pm. This free event is open to the public, but seating is limited, so it's important to reserve ahead.
