Townsend Park: Art in Nature

Bring your family out to explore creativity inspired by the natural world. The program starts with a guided nature walk through the park to spark imagination, followed by hands-on time with various art materials. Depending on the session, you might work with printmaking, sculpture, watercolors, or other mediums—all while surrounded by trees and trails. This is a great activity for families with children of any age, though every child must have a registered adult present throughout. Tickets are $5 for adults and $8 for children ages 2 and up (under 2 is free). Pre-registration is strongly recommended since space fills up, and you can register online until one hour before the program starts. Walk-ins are welcome if spots remain available. Keep in mind that programs happen rain or shine and involve walking on unpaved park paths, so dress for the weather with sturdy shoes and appropriate layers. Arrive a few minutes early, as the group departs promptly at the start time.
