Townsend Park: Bumblebee Nature Walk

Join us for a guided exploration of nature designed with young explorers in mind. A trained Blandford Educator will lead children and their caregivers on a walk through the park, equipped with exploration backpacks filled with tools to help kids discover the natural world around them. This program encourages hands-on learning and curiosity as families experience the outdoors together. The walk takes place mostly or entirely outside and may include unpaved trails, so come prepared with weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. This is not a drop-off program—a registered adult must stay with registered children throughout. The program targets ages 5–12, though younger and older children can attend with registration. Registration is strongly recommended since spaces are limited and can fill up; online sign-ups close one hour before start time, though walk-ins are welcome if spots remain. Admission is $5 per adult and per child (ages 2+), with children under 2 free. Please arrive a few minutes early, as the group departs promptly at the listed time.
