Townsend Park: Hike with A Naturalist

Join Blandford Nature Center's educators for a guided nature walk through Townsend Park designed with beginners in mind. You'll learn practical skills like using field guide apps and identifying plants and animals as you explore the park's seasonal features. This outing works well for adults and children ages 12 and up, though younger children can attend with a registered adult supervisor. All participants should come prepared for outdoor conditions with appropriate footwear and clothing, as the program takes place rain or shine and involves walking unpaved trails. Registration is strongly recommended since space is limited—you can sign up online until one hour before the start time, or try your luck as a walk-in if spots remain available. Please plan to arrive early, as the group departs promptly at the scheduled time. Adults and children ages 2 and up are each $5; children under 2 are free. Note that this is not a drop-off program, and all registered children need an adult present throughout. If mobility challenges affect your group, reach out ahead of time so organizers can make accommodations.
