Townsend Park: Nature Storytime

Nature-themed storytime at Townsend Park in Cannonsburg.

Join Blandford Educators at Townsend Park for an outdoor storytelling adventure perfect for little ones. Educators will share engaging tales about Michigan's wildlife and plants to spark your child's curiosity about nature. After the stories wrap up, everyone participates in a hands-on outdoor activity or craft together. This program works best for children ages 2–6 with their caregivers, though older and younger siblings are welcome with registration. Admission is $5 per child (ages 2+), while adults and children under 2 are free. Pre-registration is strongly recommended since space fills up, and you can register online up until one hour before the program starts. Keep in mind this isn't a drop-off event—a registered adult must stay with children throughout. Since activities happen outdoors rain or shine and include park trails, dress everyone appropriately for the weather with sturdy shoes. Arrive a few minutes early, as programs start promptly and groups may move into the park if latecomers arrive after the start time. If you have any mobility concerns, let organizers know in advance so they can help make adjustments.
