Unseen Oceans
Explore ocean technology and marine life through interactive stations.
Unseen Oceans takes you on an underwater adventure from the bright surface waters down to the darkest ocean depths. Created by the American Museum of Natural History, this exhibition showcases cutting-edge ocean exploration using robotics, remote underwater vehicles, satellite technology, and high-definition imaging to reveal discoveries about our planet's vast seas.
Your family will experience an immersive submersible theatre for a virtual dive, see enormous models of unusual sea creatures, and view fossils including ammonite shells and megalodon teeth. Interactive stations and 180-degree screens bring ocean life to vivid reality—watch blue whales, giant squid, and manta rays in life-sized animations. Kids will love the glowing biofluorescent fish and turtle models, the interactive projections, and climbing into a partial replica of a real deep-sea submersible for photos. This hands-on experience works well for curious minds of all ages interested in marine science and ocean exploration.
