Wabasis Lake Park: Bumblebee Nature Walk

Wabasis Lake Park: Bumblebee Nature Walk

Outdoor storytime at Wabasis Lake Park celebrating Michigan's plants, animals, and nature.

Join educators from Blandford Nature Center for an afternoon of stories and exploration at Wabasis Lake Park. Your child will listen to engaging tales about Michigan's wildlife and plants, then head outside for a hands-on activity or craft that brings the natural world to life. This program works best for children ages 2–6, though older and younger kids are welcome with registration. Plan to arrive a few minutes early, as the program starts promptly and may involve walking into the park. Dress for outdoor conditions—rain won't stop the adventure, so bring coats and sturdy shoes for unpaved paths. Admission is $5 per adult and child (ages 2+), with children under 2 free. Pre-registration is strongly recommended since space is limited; online sign-ups close one hour before start time, though walk-ins are accepted if spots remain. This is not a drop-off program—a registered adult must supervise children throughout. If you have mobility concerns, let organizers know ahead of time so they can help with trail adjustments.
