Youth Eco Stewards Work Day
Teen habitat restoration & trail work at Blandford Nature Center with hands-on conservation education.
Teenagers ages 13 to 18 are invited to roll up their sleeves and make a real difference at Blandford Nature Center during this hands-on volunteer work day. Participants will tackle meaningful conservation tasks including habitat restoration, trail upkeep, removing invasive plants, and helping maintain the Native Gardens. Throughout the afternoon, teens learn to identify and manage different plant species while discovering how their work directly benefits the local ecosystem.
Before you arrive, make sure your teen brings a water bottle and work gloves. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required for trail maintenance and invasive species removal—layered clothing and hats are smart choices depending on the weather. This is a public volunteer opportunity open to anyone in the age range, so it's a great way for young people who care about nature to contribute meaningfully to environmental stewardship.
